Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is seeking a Student Writing Coach to support students in developing their writing skills through remote conferencing and workshops. The ideal candidate is a current student with strong writing competence, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to Christian values. This position requires residency in the Kansas City Metropolitan area, and the coach will engage with students to enhance their academic writing capabilities. Flexible shifts of 5 to 10 hours per week are expected.
Qualifications
Current student of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary or Spurgeon College.
Strong knowledge of the writing process and effective structure.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Assist students at any stage of the writing process via conferences.
Maintain detailed records of each student conference.
Assist with writing workshops and special events.
