Job summary

Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is seeking a Student Writing Coach to support students in developing their writing skills through remote conferencing and workshops. The ideal candidate is a current student with strong writing competence, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to Christian values. This position requires residency in the Kansas City Metropolitan area, and the coach will engage with students to enhance their academic writing capabilities. Flexible shifts of 5 to 10 hours per week are expected.

Qualifications

• Current student of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary or Spurgeon College.
• Strong knowledge of the writing process and effective structure.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist students at any stage of the writing process via conferences.
• Maintain detailed records of each student conference.
• Assist with writing workshops and special events.
