Job summary

Ohio Wesleyan University seeks a Bishop Way Peer Educator to empower peers and promote wellness initiatives on campus. The role focuses on the five dimensions of wellness and modeling healthy choices across the OWU community.

The position is temporary and part-time, offering about 6 hours per week with Fall and Spring terms. Training is provided and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Interest in promoting wellness education and prevention programming for the OWU community.
• Must be in good standing with the Office of Student Integrity and Community Standards.
• Completion of the Bishop Way Peer Educator training course (0.25 Credit Hours).
• Professional communication skills both verbal and written.
• Experience working on a team and collaborating with on- and off-campus partners.
• Event planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate prevention education workshops and presentations.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute Bishop Way signature programs.
• Create social norming marketing and other Bishop Way advertising materials to educate OWU about programs.
• Attend training sessions to gain knowledge to share with the OWU community.
