National Mental Health Corps (NMHC) AmeriCorps Volunteers serve alongside community organizations and institutions to expand access to mental health education, prevention, and support services. At the University of South Carolina, members support campus mental health outreach and student wellness initiatives by helping plan and implement engagement activities, awareness events, and educational programming.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering mental health education and outreach.
• Ability to plan and implement engagement activities and events.
• Familiar with evidence-based interventions (MHFA, QPR).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work with university and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Support campus mental health outreach and student wellness initiatives.
• Assist with outreach, communications, and partnership development.
• Help connect students with mental health resources.
• Contribute to program tracking, evaluation, and sustainability.
