Job summary

Schreiner University seeks a Photographer and Multimedia Producer to serve as the campus photographer and create multimedia content supporting academics, athletics, recruitment, and events. You will photograph student life, classrooms, and facilities, and produce videos and motion graphics for various channels.

The role requires editing, interviewing, and archiving content, with occasional evening/weekend coverage for athletics and events. Proficiency in Adobe CC and drone/video work is desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in photography, film, video production, digital media, communications, marketing or a related field.
• Professional experience producing, photographing, filming and editing visual content.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating photography, video production, visual storytelling, editing and motion graphics.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Experience creating motion graphics and animated visual elements.
• Working knowledge of professional cameras, lenses, lighting, audio equipment and production workflows.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, changing priorities and deadline-sensitive projects.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with campus partners.
• Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for athletics contests, campus events and other assignments.
• Ability to safely transport, set up and operate photography, video, lighting and audio equipment.
• Experience producing content for higher education, collegiate athletics or a comparable organization.
• Graphic design experience using Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign.
• Experience developing content for social media, digital advertising, livestreams and video boards.
• Experience with drone photography or videography and multicamera production.
• Experience organizing and maintaining digital photography and video archives.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Schreiner University’s primary campus photographer and produce video and multimedia content supporting academics, athletics, recruitment, marketing and University events.
• Photograph student life, classroom experiences, athletics, portraits, facilities and campus activities; film and edit academic and athletics videos; create motion graphics.
• Conduct interviews; prepare content for social media, websites, advertising, livestreams and video boards.
• Manage projects from concept through final delivery; maintain an organized archive; operate and maintain production equipment.
• Ensure content conforms to Schreiner University brand standards; provide evening and weekend coverage for athletics contests and events.
