Job summary

The University of Delaware is seeking an Assistant Director for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in Newark, DE. You will lead the campus visitor program, supervise 100+ Blue Hen Ambassador tour guides, hire/train staff, and coordinate logistics for information sessions, tours, and outreach events.

Responsibilities include scheduling, CRM management, collaboration with campus units, and developing a comprehensive program for new and current guides.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• Experience with college student affairs, student programming and mentorship.
• Strong customer service and attention to detail.
• Creative problem solving and proactive/reactive campus visit management.
• Excellent written/oral communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with diverse audiences and collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Establish yearly calendar for campus visits and events.
• Recruit, hire, and train student tour guides.
• Develop training and evaluation programs for guides and mentors.
• Manage day-to-day visitation programming and logistics.
• Oversee Slate/CRM setup for visits, registrations, surveys, and pages.
• Develop annual marketing/communications plan for admissions visits.
• Coordinate with campus units to align tours with programming.
• Support tour route evaluation and updating talking points manual.
