Job summary

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign seeks a collaborative video specialist to contribute to pre‑production, production, and post‑production of campus video content. You will help capture people and discoveries across the campus to tell compelling stories that move Illinois forward.

The role supports filming, editing, graphics, audio, captioning, and delivery under the direction of Video Services leadership, with some evening/weekend hours and occasional travel expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, or a closely related field.
• One (1) year (12 months) of professional work experience in marketing, public relations, communications, brand management, or a related professional area.
• Demonstrated experience with video production, direction and/or editing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, film, and set up on production shoots, meeting deadlines.
• Produce campus outreach videos and promotional content.
• Support filming of Big Ten documentary productions and News Bureau videos.
• Edit, create graphics, audio mix, caption, and render videos in post‑production.
• Prepare, export, and upload completed video productions for delivery to clients.
