Job summary

Sinte Gleska University seeks a dedicated van/bus driver to transport students to and from classes on the established schedules and routes for the academic year.

You will maintain monthly logs, confirm daily student needs, ensure vehicles are clean and safe, and report maintenance or schedule changes to the VP of General Administration. This role supports SGU's mission by promoting reliable, safe student transportation.

Responsibilities

• Transport University students to and from classes on the established schedules and routes for the academic year.
• Maintain monthly logs including locations of pick-up sites, time, odometer readings, and class cancellations; logs filed with the VP of General Administration at month end.
• Call and confirm student needs for rides each day; report non-riders to update the riding schedule.
• Ensure all students complete the Student Route Schedule before transport; hand form copies to the VP of General Administration.
• Inform students to fill out the transportation survey for each semester prior to pickup.
• Communicate and respond to the VP of General Administration for updates and pertinent information.
• Assist with driving students to SGU events, trainings, activities, and meetings.
• Maintain assigned vehicle in clean, safe operating condition with regular servicing.
• Report to the maintenance office after the morning bus run for daily assignments.
• Operate the vehicle in compliance with local and state highway traffic regulations.
