Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Campus Retail Associate to deliver superior customer service and support store leaders in daily operations. You will process sales transactions, greet customers, and help keep the store tidy and inviting. This temporary position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to gain hands-on retail experience while supporting campus customers during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
• Willingness to learn and excel in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexible availability throughout the academic year including peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Greet customers and ensure a positive experience during their visit.
• Support store operations, including operating equipment and cash register.
• Keep the store tidy by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products.
• Temporary position requires availability for 90 days or less, with occasional weekends and flexible shifts.
• Routine housekeeping tasks such as dusting, mopping, and trash removal.
