Job summary

Jump Trading Group is seeking bright, motivated interns for a 10-week Technology Operations internship. You’ll work with experienced systems and network engineers to gain hands-on knowledge across the trading platform, infrastructure, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

Pursuing/holding a degree in CS/Engineering/IS or related field.
Experience with Linux/UNIX and shell scripting.
Knowledge of networking concepts (routing, multicast, Ethernet).
Python programming experience.
Detail-oriented with ability to operate under pressure.

Responsibilities

Work with traders, operations, exchanges, and developers to optimize the trading environment and resolve system issues.
Proactively monitor the health and performance of the trading platform.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex system, software, and networking issues.
Design, implement and optimize network infrastructure for low-latency trading apps across data centers.
Build automation to improve production trading environment.
Coordinate changes with risk management and trading teams; manage incidents.
Document processes and procedures.
Assist or perform other duties as assigned.
