BARNES & NOBLE COLLEGE is seeking a Campus Retail Associate to deliver outstanding customer service on our campus store floor. You will assist with sales transactions, greet shoppers, and support daily operations to keep the store running smoothly.

The role offers flexible scheduling, a friendly team environment, and opportunities for development. Candidates should be 18+, comfortable with math and data entry, and able to work during peak academic periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
• Outstanding attitude with willingness to learn and ability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexible availability throughout the academic year including peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Greet customers and focus on their positive experience throughout their visit.
• Support store operations including operating equipment and cash register with speed and accuracy.
• Keep the store looking fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space.
• Seasonal peak periods require work during semester starts/ends, occasional weekends, and scheduling flexibility.
• Routine housekeeping such as dusting, mopping, windows, vacuuming, trash removal.
