Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Spanish, and/or closely related field.
• Native or near-native proficiency in both Spanish and in English.
• The ability to teach classes in person on campus according to the academic schedule.

Responsibilities

• Instruct an assigned course providing syllabi and other instructional materials
• Use of university learning management systems to deliver instruction
• Teaching of a specified course (Spanish)
• Preparation of materials
• Providing support and guidance to students
• Keeping posted office hours (1 hr per course)
• Giving prompt, regular feedback to students about their academic performance
• Reporting mid-semester and final grades electronically
• Cooperating with course coordinators or other program faculty to assure quality and consistency across the program
• Participate in planning and coordinating meetings
• Cooperating in program assessments
