Job summary

Interlochen is seeking dependable and safety-focused Bus Drivers to provide transportation for students, faculty, staff, and guests across campus and surrounding areas, supporting daily operations and events.

You will operate vehicles, perform pre-trip inspections, maintain logs, assist passengers, and follow routes and safety procedures, with opportunities to work varied shifts during concerts and camps.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL with Passenger endorsement required or ability to obtain before employment.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist passengers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate buses and other assigned vehicles per regulations.
• Transport students, faculty, staff, guests to campus and events.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report safety concerns.
• Maintain transportation logs and inspection reports.
• Ensure safety and courtesy of all passengers; assist with boarding and luggage.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and follow routes/schedules.
• Respond to emergencies and follow safety procedures.
• Support transportation during concerts, camps, and events as needed.
