Job summary

Wilkes University invites applicants for Drivers to fill open positions in the campus shuttle program. All drivers must have a valid Class C CDL License with passenger endorsement (or out-of-state equivalent), and be able to operate an ADA accessible ramp.

The Shuttle Bus Driver's primary responsibility is transporting students and other University passengers both on and off campus. Available shifts on weekdays, and Sunday evenings.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a Medical Examiner's Certificate as required by PennDOT.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Be dependable and timely in attendance.
• Ability to work independently in varying conditions.
• Operate a shuttle with an ADA ramp when needed.

Responsibilities

• Providing safe transport in a University vehicle of students, faculty, staff, and others within the University community.
• Operating shuttle as intended to transport students safely to destinations on or off campus.
• Remaining flexible to prescribed routes, as time allows.
• Accommodating special requests of passengers.
• Maintaining clean and safe shuttle interiors.
