Job summary

South Texas College is seeking a Security Guard to patrol and secure campus buildings and grounds, monitor for potential threats, and respond to emergencies. You will enforce parking and safety procedures, assist with traffic control, and provide escort services and information as needed.

Ideal candidates have a college certificate or associate degree, 30 college hours, and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

Must have College Certificate or Associate's degree preferred.
A minimum of 30 earned college hours.
At least one (1) year of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Patrols, inspects, monitors, protects and secures college buildings and grounds for the prevention of crimes and responds to emergencies.
Enforces security procedures and guidelines.
Analyzes situations quickly to determine if law enforcement involvement is required.
Assists with traffic control and crosswalk duty as needed.
Promptly responds to safety and security incidents.
Documents concise and accurate incident reports and security logs.
Provides safety and security services at College functions as needed.
