Job summary

South Texas College Security is responsible for patrolling and securing college buildings and grounds, monitoring for emergencies, and enforcing parking regulations. The team provides escorts and general assistance to students, staff, and visitors, while remaining vigilant for safety concerns.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to work varied shifts across the campus and district, including days and nights.

Responsibilities

• Patrols, inspects, monitors, protects and secures college buildings and grounds and responds to emergencies.
• Enforces parking and traffic rules and issues citations as needed.
• Provides escort services and general information to students, employees and visitors.
• Documents incident reports, security logs and other required written documentation.
• Travels throughout the college district to perform duties and responds promptly to safety concerns.
