Job summary

Northeast State Community College's Police Department is seeking a Security Officer (Part-time/Temporary). This role protects life and property across all campus sites, conducts safety checks, enforces traffic and parking regulations, and prepares basic reports.

Reporting to the Chief of Campus Police, you will interact with students and staff, respond to emergencies, document incidents, and support officers as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Must not have felony convictions or related disqualifications.
• Willing to work different shifts, holidays, and multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Protect life and property across campus sites and enforcement of college policies.
• Enforce traffic and parking regulations and issue citations.
• Conduct regular equipment, facility, and safety checks.
• Respond to and document emergencies and incidents.
• Prepare basic reports and assist in court or hearings as needed.
• Assist police officers in managing potentially dangerous situations.
