Job summary

Joffe Emergency Services, a nationally recognized safety provider, seeks a part-time Campus Safety Officer to support a Hollywood-area school campus. Shifts are 5:30 AM–2:00 PM, two days per week (8–24 hours weekly) with additional hours for events.

You’ll help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for students, staff, and families on campus. Ideal candidates stay calm under pressure, are approachable, and communicate well with diverse campus communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 6 months of security experience preferred.
• Active Guard Card required.
• Active CPR certificate required.
• Customer service experience required.
• Experience working with children or students preferred.
• Must read and write English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure campus environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Serve as a visible and approachable presence throughout campus.
• Respond to campus incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns.
• Monitor student behavior and help enforce school policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine patrols and safety inspections of campus grounds and facilities.
• Assist with traffic flow, parking, and visitor access.
• Write detailed incident reports and document security-related activity.
• Support school administration with safety and security needs as requested.
• Assist with campus investigations, including reviewing camera footage and gathering information.
• Help ensure campus buildings and facilities are properly secured.
• Build positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and local law enforcement.

Our Campus Safety Division partners with schools to provide a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Position Overview

Joffe Emergency Services is seeking a professional and dependable part-time Campus Safety Officer (CSO) to support a school campus in the Hollywood (Los Angeles, CA 90028) area. This part-time position is scheduled 5:30 AM-2:00 PM, two days per week between Monday and Thursday, with 8-24 hours per week and more opportunities for hours as needs arise. Some weekends or longer shift days may be required when the school has rentals or events.

This role goes beyond traditional security - Campus Safety Officers are trusted members of the school community who help foster a safe, positive, and supportive campus environment. Ideal candidates are calm under pressure, approachable, observant, and comfortable working with students, staff, and families on a daily basis.

• Comfortable working independently and in dynamic environments

• Must be able to read and write English fluently

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to perform routine patrols across campus grounds
