Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Company is seeking a Corporate Security Officer to provide top tier security and customer service for our Orrville campus. You will monitor alarms, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents to safeguard employees and visitors.

In this on-site role, you will work back half night shifts, coordinate with EMS/LE, and apply company policies while maintaining clear incident reports and ensuring safety across campus facilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in security, EMS, military, or law enforcement.
• Clean driving record last 5 years.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays; strong communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain a Concealed Carry permit.

Responsibilities

• Operate as the back half days shift Security Officer to ensure proper surveillance of our corporate campus.
• Apply JMS policies and procedures to security tasks and ensure adherence to facility guidelines.
• Coordinate emergency response with EMS/LE and respond to emergencies using escalation of force up to armed response.
• Conduct patrols at designated posts inside and outside of our corporate building and other facilities on campus.
• Provide First Aid/CPR when needed.
• Monitor alarms and video surveillance systems.
• Document and retain incident reports.
