Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Educational Facility Mobile Control Access in Holtsville, NY. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned site with opportunities to earn extra shifts through the scheduling platform. Pay rate is $23.24 per hour.

Responsibilities include campus safety, access monitoring, incident response, and reporting. Minimum requirements: 1 year security experience, valid driver’s license, high school diploma; background check and drug screening

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal policy.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and logs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
