Columbia University is seeking a Security Officer to protect personnel and facilities against the hazards of fire, accidents, and vandalism; maintain law and order, and enforce all regulations, including those in the security manual. The officer may be assigned to any Manhattan campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid NYS Guard License required.
• NYS 8-hour mandated training certificate required annually.
• Must be physically fit and able to pass a physical exam.
• Able to perform strenuous activity and work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to write legible reports, use a portable radio, and exercise sound judgment.
