Securitas is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for a college campus environment in Newton, MA. You will monitor premises, enforce policies, respond to incidents, and provide courteous assistance to students, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications include 18+ years old, valid driver's license, ability to read and communicate in English, and a high school diploma or equivalent. This on-site role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Surveillance: Monitor security cameras and conduct regular patrols to identify risks.
Access Control: Verify IDs and ensure only authorized individuals enter.
Emergency Response: Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies promptly.
Incident Reporting: Document incidents, observations, and security concerns.
Patrolling: Perform routine foot patrols of entrances, exits, and surrounding areas.
Customer Service: Provide directions and assistance to employees and visitors.
Safety Inspections: Identify and report potential hazards and unsafe conditions.
Conflict Resolution: Address disturbances calmly to maintain order.
Collaboration: Work with team members and emergency responders when needed.
