Position

Title: Campus Security Officer (Armed)

Part Time with flexible hours, Non-Exempt, 10 month

Reports to: Security Director

Education/Experience Required/Preferred: Experience in law enforcement or guarding at a private school is required. A high school diploma is required; further education is desired. Must have a CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon) License.

Pay Range: $25-$35/hour

General Responsibilities

The Campus Security Officer will monitor safety on campus, which includes students, employees, and visitors. Will work to resolve problems, enforce rules and regulations governing student conduct and provide direction and assistance to visitors and students.

Specific Responsibilities

• Observe student interactions and activities and report immediate concerns to the appropriate school personnel.
• Work with students and administrators to maintain a safe campus.
• Assist with crowd control and emergency situations.
• Implement emergency procedures.
• Campus Supervision, as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience in law enforcement or guarding at a private school is required.
• Must have a CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon) License.
• Must have a current Guard Card.

• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in performing duties.
• Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, professional attitude, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Must be able to work outdoors and stand for long periods.
• Must be able to be able to bend, reach, and climb stairs in the performance of their duties.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
• Be able to de-escalate potentially volatile or violent situations.

Must hold or obtain a valid First Aid and CPR Certificate within the first three months of employment.

This is a 10 month, full or part time position with flexible hours ranging from Monday-Friday, 7:30am – 4pm. Willing to work on the schedule with the right candidate.
