Job Snapshot:

To promote proper and safe demeanor, provide security, and protection of all students, staff, and propertybelonging to the Alamogordo Public Schools.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Ability to interpret and disseminate information including, but not limited to, student/District disciplinary policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of student and staff information
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with students, staff, administration, and the public
  • Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements as assigned
  • Some computer literacy and operational skills
Salary:

Nine months (185 days) per contract year and appropriate placement on the District Security Officer Salary Schedule. The work calendar is subject to change based on any Board approved revisions that may or may not be Permanent.

Conditions of Employment:

Ability to comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 and, upon an offer of employment, complete an Employee's Statement of Health and submit to a functional capacity evaluation at the District's expense to determine ability to perform job-related functions and fitness for duty.
