University of Detroit Mercy is seeking a Security Officer to patrol campus, protect buildings and grounds, and enforce university policies, including parking rules. The role focuses on maintaining safety for students, staff, and visitors and responding to security needs across the campus.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED, reliable interpersonal skills, strong communication, and computer literacy.
To provide security services to the university; patrol campus and check resident halls and other buildings; maintain safe parking conditions on campus. Enforce University Parking rules and regulations, and enforce all University rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Physical Requirements
Job requires repetitive lifting of light-weight objects with frequent bending and stooping, or repetitively lifting average-weight objects where frequent bending or stooping alternates with lighter activities. Occasionally lifts heavy objects (over 50 pounds).
Regular exposure to unfavorable conditions such as weather conditions, or confined, noisy, or dirty locations.
Licenses/Certifications
