Job summary

Wyoming Life Resource Center is seeking a part-time, non-benefitted temporary security officer to patrol campus grounds, monitor safety, enforce campus policies, and respond to unusual or potentially dangerous situations. This role supports students, staff and visitors and collaborates with decision-makers.

The typical schedule is Saturday through Tuesday evenings during the school year, with the ability to cover additional evenings as needed to accommodate vacations.

Responsibilities

• Patrols campus grounds daily and during events to identify potential issues and enforce campus policies.
• Communicates dangerous or unusual situations to appropriate personnel.
• Secures properties and buildings, including locking doors at appropriate times.
• Represents the College with students, visitors, and other on-campus parties.
• Provides general assistance to individuals as needed.
• Assists residential personnel in enforcing policies.
• Provides escorts to students, faculty, and staff.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Job description

This part-time non-benefitted temporary position performs policing, safety, and security tasks relative to students, student activities, and buildings, reporting anything unusual or amiss to decision makers. • Patrols and observes campus grounds daily and during events and activities to identify potential problematic areas and/or situations and to enforce Campus policies; communicates dangerous and/or unusual situations to appropriate personnel.
• Secures campus properties and buildings, which includes locking buildings and doors at appropriate times.
• Represents the College with students, visitors, and/or other applicable parties who are on campus.
• Provides general assistance to individuals as needed.
• Assists residential personnel in enforcing policies.
• Provides escorts to students, faculty, and staff.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
