Job summary

Village Christian School in Sun Valley, CA is seeking a Full Time Campus Supervisor to monitor student behavior, enforce rules, and assist visitors and students on campus.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma, a strong Christian faith, the ability to de-escalate conflicts, and excellent communication with students, families, and staff. First Aid/CPR within three months is required.

Qualifications

• Strong Christian faith aligned with VCS statements.
• High School Diploma required; further education desired.
• Knowledge of VCS conduct and behavior standards.
• Understanding of adolescent development.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, tact, patience and courtesy.
• Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
• Effective communication with students, parents, faculty and the public.
• Ability to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
• Calm, thoughtful response to emergencies.
• Past security experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student behavior on campus and in non-classroom areas.
• Enforce school rules and standards for student conduct.
• Supervise hallways, entrances, restrooms, and lunch areas.
• Assist visitors and students; provide directions and identify unauthorized individuals.
• Observe interactions and report concerns to administration.
• Work with administrators to maintain a clean, orderly campus.
• Model Christ-like behavior and act as ambassador to students, staff and parents.
• Assist with crowd control and emergency situations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
