Hastings Public Schools seeks a Safety & Monitoring paraprofessional to help secure the building and supervise non-classroom areas during the school day. You will respond to emergencies, interpersonal conflicts, and may direct students when needed.

Responsibilities include monitoring hallways, restrooms, entrances and the lunchroom; escorting students as required; documenting incidents; and supporting administration to maintain an orderly environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a diverse community preferred.
• Experience supervising adolescents strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Monitor hallways to ensure students have passes and escort them back to class.
• Monitor building entrances/exits and inform administration of unauthorized personnel.
• Monitor restrooms and other non-classroom areas; respond to emergencies and incidents.
• Assist in monitoring student behavior in the lunchroom and on grounds.
• Document incidents as requested.
