Job Summary
The Campus Safety Staff secures assigned University Academic and Administrative Buildings. The Campus Safety Staff maintains a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, and staff by conducting security checks in assigned areas to include Academic Building, Administrative Buildings, Parking Lots, Residential Buildings and reports suspicious activities to University Dispatch/UPD when needed, ensures compliance with University and Residence Life policies and responds immediately to emergency situations, i.e. fire alarms, security alarms, and medical/injury calls.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma and/or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D).
One to three months of related or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mississippi Driver’s License
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)
Preferred Qualifications
Three years of experience as a security/safety professional. Experience responding to emergencies.
