Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience.
• More than three years of related supervisory experience required.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia.
• Ability to meet current requirements set forth by the Police Standards and Training Council for the State of Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sworn police, security, and communications personnel.
• Review daily reports for accuracy and department compliance.
• Perform administrative duties; employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, roll call and monthly reports.
• Respond to complaints, provide direction to officers on scene and evaluate decisions.
• Take command over critical incident scenes when arriving as the ranking officer.
• Supervise and assist with investigations, crime scenes, warrants and arrests.
• Prepare various records and reports; testify in court and perform related work.
• Patrol campus and outer perimeter up to 500 yards.
• Render aid to motorists and coordinate emergency services as needed.
• Work sporting events and other activities as needed.
• Must be available for recall in emergencies.
