Job summary

Southcentral KY Community & Technical College is seeking a Student Worker in Safety & Security to support campus safety operations, handle communications, monitor activity, and maintain logs. The position is on-site at the Bowling Green campus and runs August 2026 - May 2027.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a program of study.
• Enrolled in at least 6 hours for Fall and Spring semesters.
• Maintain a 2.0 GPA.
• Meet SAP and MTF requirements each semester.
• Have a completed FAFSA on file.
• Department of Education requires budget room for work‑study awards.
• Kentucky state law requires background checks prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls on the security cell.
• Radio requests to security officers.
• Log officers' activity into the daily log.
• Be a point of contact for the main campus lost and found.
• Move lost and found items to the security office.
• Log lost and found items.
• Secure lost items.
• Issue keys to employees from the outgoing key box.
• Monitor security cameras on each campus.
