Job summary

Qualifications

• Be eligible for certification as a law enforcement officer by the Police Officer Standards and Training Commission (POST-C) after satisfying all requirements.
• Pass the Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC) prescreening process, including physical fitness and endurance tests.
• Complete the MPTC approved basic police training academy or be eligible for an official MPTC exemption.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years old; must possess an MA License to Carry (LTC-A) firearms.
• Must have a high school diploma or HiSET/GED; pass background checks and CORI.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the buildings and grounds to ensure security and guard against trespass, theft, and damage.
• Enforce state laws and college regulations; restrain or arrest suspects when necessary.
• Investigate crimes, traffic accidents, and other matters; identify offenders and participate in court proceedings.
• Provide law enforcement presence on campus and assist community members; support emergency responses.
