Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Safety and Security Officer for St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, NY.

You will patrol facilities, monitor access, assist patients and visitors, and respond to routine and emergency situations to maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The position, 40 hours per week, evenings with weekend rotation, requires a high school diploma, 6 months of security-related experience, NYS Security Guard license, and a valid NYS driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience in law enforcement, corrections, military, or security.
• NYS Security Guard License.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence and respond to incidents.
• Monitor entrances/exits and screen visitors.
• Respond to emergencies and manage incidents while protecting evidence.
• Provide respectful interactions with patients, staff, and visitors.
• Uphold grooming standards and identify safety hazards.
