Job summary

Bucks County Community College in Newtown, PA is seeking a Full-Time Security & Safety Officer to protect students, staff, and property across campus. The role includes patrolling buildings and grounds, enforcing campus rules, assisting police, fire and EMS, and controlling access during events and emergencies.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, a clear driving record, and the ability to work rotating shifts in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of security or law enforcement experience.
• Valid operator's license.
• Clear motor vehicle record.
• Ability to perform continuous patrols on rotating shifts in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Patrols campus buildings and grounds to enforce rules and conduct.
• Assist in safety and protection of students, staff, and visitors.
• Lock/unlock doors, inspect alarms, and file incident reports.
• Regulate traffic on campus and assist motorists as needed.
• Investigate incidents and coordinate with police/EMS when required.
