Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• Currently employed as a Police Officer.
• Massachusetts Municipal, Special State Police Officer, or State Police Academy graduate.
• Maintain Special State Police Officer Warrant and compliance with MA training requirements.
• Valid motor vehicle operator's license and a License to Carry Firearm, First Responder and CPR.
• Provide three written letters of reference.
• Pass comprehensive background, psychological, medical exams and PAT.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with department policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Patrol Clark University property by vehicle and foot to prevent crimes.
• Detain and/or arrest suspects when necessary.
• Provide first-responder medical assistance and direct advanced medical personnel as needed.
• Produce well-written incident reports.
• Perform traffic control and parking enforcement.
• Collaborate with Clark University community and local agencies to enhance safety.
• Participate in training and orientation programs for students, faculty and staff.
• Testify before the Commonwealth's Judicial and University Judicial Systems.
• Take part in ongoing officer development programs; perform other duties as assigned.
