Job summary

The College of the Muscogee Nation is seeking an entry-level Security Officer to patrol campus areas, enforce college policies, and help maintain a safe environment for students and employees. Under the supervision of the Lead Security Officer, you will handle routine security duties, monitor student behavior, and assist in incidents.

Required are a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and a CLEET unarmed security guard license, with a 60-day window to obtain an armed license if applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
• Valid CLEET unarmed security guard license.
• 21 years of age or older, good character and no criminal record.
• Must be able to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Patrol CMN campus areas to deter and detect security issues and to ensure a safe environment for students and staff.
• Warn violators of college policies and investigate incidents as needed; write incident reports and conduct interviews.
• Assist Shift Leader with shift coverage, training, and routine security tasks; provide information and directions to staff, students and visitors.
• Prepare logs and reports; support training for CMN faculty, staff and students on security topics, including drills and emergencies.
