Job summary

Otis Worldwide Corporation is seeking a Campus Safety Officer at the Goldsmith Campus - Westchester campus to ensure the safety of students, staff and property. You will patrol, monitor access, respond to emergencies, and prepare incident reports.

Qualifications

• Familiarity using CCTV cameras and access card software is highly desired.
• Familiarity using computers, databases, and MS Office programs is necessary.
• Basic math skills required for calculating property loss for incident reports.
• Valid Security Guard permit issued by the BSIS is required prior to start date.
• Possession of a current PC 832 Certification/SB 1626 or must be willing to acquire certification.
• Must take an 8-hour baton/pepper spray class prior to carrying such defense weapons.
• Must maintain current CPR/First Aid and AED certification throughout employment.
• Valid California Driver’s License required.
• Must have a reliable motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas and perform security checks; control access and monitor doors.
• Respond to routine and emergency calls; assess and escalate as needed; involve local law enforcement when required.
• Maintain perimeter and crowd control during events or incidents.
• Escort students, staff, and visitors between buildings and vehicles.
• Assist with parking control, traffic direction, and issue citations when needed.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities and prepare incident reports.
• Assist with crime prevention programs and public safety campaigns.
• Enforce OSHA/CAL-OSHA regulations and college safety policies.
• Serve as a Campus Security Authority and mandatory reporter under Clery Act.
• Carry non-lethal weapons and perform related duties as assigned.
