Job summary

South Texas College seeks a Supervisor - Security to assist with the management of safety and security across the Department of Public Safety. You will supervise security guard specialists and guards campus district-wide, ensuring daily patrols and inspections to prevent crimes.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of security and safety management experience, plus willingness to travel district-wide and work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and two years of security/safety management experience.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervises security personnel campus district wide.
• Coordinates campus activities with the Police Lieutenant.
• Develops and enforces security standards of operations and procedures.
• Reviews incident reports and submits for approval by the Parking and Security Services Manager.
• Travels to all campuses district wide on a daily and weekly basis.
• Acts as Campus Security Authority and assists with training of staff.
