Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess Virginia DCJS law enforcement officer certification or obtain it within one year.
• Must meet annual training and ongoing certification requirements per Physical Demands.
• Must work irregular hours across all VPCC campuses.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the laws of the Commonwealth and VPCC regulations to maintain campus safety.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and provide testimony when required.
• Direct traffic, patrol campus properties, and provide escort and safety services.
• Assist visitors with directions and information; monitor security and respond to emergencies.
• Perform duties with professionalism and maintain public trust.
