Job summary

Riverside Community College District is seeking a part-time Community Service Aide (Safety & Police) to enforce parking rules and provide security across district properties, including at Riverside campus locations.

The role requires a high school diploma and prior parking enforcement or security experience, with duties spanning patrols, traffic control, and incident reporting. Work is 19.5 hours weekly for 12 months and pays monthly. CPR certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior parking enforcement or security experience is desired.
• Knowledge of principles of customer service; ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Enforce parking rules and regulations; issue citations per California Vehicle Code.
• Provide security patrols by foot or vehicle; monitor District properties.
• Observe and report suspicious activity to police communications.
• Respond to public service calls (jump starts, unlocks, escorts, document deliveries).
• Provide traffic control and direction on campus and adjacent roads.
• Assist at special events with security and information to guests.
• Provide emergency assistance as directed by the department.
