Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• College classes in criminal justice or related field are preferred.
• Experience working with youth and the public is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist administrators in enforcing district regulations and report infractions.
• Serve as witness in disciplinary or court proceedings as required.
• Submit oral and written reports to the district as required.
• Maintain vigilance and assist in crime prevention on campuses.
• Identify students and others in violation of rules and report to authorities.
• Build positive relationships to promote a safe school climate.
• Adhere to district policies, guidelines, protocols, and procedures.
• Assist bus driver with bus security and discipline problems on campus.
• Assist with extracurricular events as needed.
• Regular and on-time attendance required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the administration or District Security Supervisor.
