Job summary

College of DuPage seeks a Patrol Officer (Lateral/Certified/Recent Law Enforcement Officer Retiree Only) to protect College properties, students, faculty and guests on a 273-acre campus near Chicago. You will enforce rules, respond to incidents, and coordinate with other agencies when needed.

Qualifications

• Active service as a certified law enforcement officer within one year of transfer/hire.
• Experience in law enforcement.
• Experience on a College campus is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide services and protection for College properties, interests, students, faculty, staff and guests.
• Enforce College rules, regulations, traffic and parking.
• Take initial reports of incidents and conduct investigations for evidence gathering and referrals.
