Job description

Eckerd College is immediately hiring a Campus Safety Officer to serve our students at our beautiful campus in St. Petersburg. Located on nearly 200 waterfront acres on Florida's Gulf Coast, Eckerd has developed a national reputation as an innovative liberal arts and sciences community where students are empowered to improve the world.

The Campus Safety and Security Officer provides safety and security services which include the implementation and administration of programs that assist the Eckerd College community in maintaining order and / or improving the personal safety of the students, faculty, staff, guests, and property of the College. Duties will include responding to calls, conducting regular campus patrols, and ensuring proper execution of Camps Safety policies and procedures.

Applicants must be 21 years of age, possess a current and valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator's License, and a current Florida Class D security license. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Must be willing to work the following available shift :

  • Thursday 5 : 00 p.m. - 5 : 00 a.m.
  • Friday 5 : 00 p.m. - 3 : 00 a.m.
  • Saturday 5 : 00 p.m. - 5 : 00 a.m.

Employment will require a successful background check.
