Job summary

North Central College seeks a campus safety officer to provide security and promote safety within the college community. Responsibilities include patrolling campus, monitoring access, and responding to emergencies.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work well in a diverse environment, and a high school diploma or GED. Training in CPR/AED and First Aid is expected within the first 90 days.

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with the college community.
• Must perform regular patrols of campus.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services to enforce College policies and secure buildings.
• Patrol assigned areas, responding to concerns and deterring criminal activity.
• Assist with emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as needed.

Skills

Good working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
