Job summary

San Diego Unified School District in San Diego seeks a Campus Security Assistant at Hoover High School to patrol the campus and adjacent property, ensure pupil safety, supervise students on campus and at activities, and help enforce school rules.

This 10-month-per-year, 40-hours-per-week position uses the Paraeducator Salary Schedule, Grade 026; vacancies may require bilingual skills with a 5% differential, and employees working 20 hours or more qualify for district health benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent is required.
• One year of working with youth in an organized setting and/or security guard experience is desirable.
• Some positions may require bilingual verbal, written, and translation skills.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus and adjacent property to ensure security and pupil safety.
• Supervise pupils on campus and at school activities.
• Assist in enforcement of rules and regulations.
