Job summary

Bob Jones University is seeking a Graduate Assistant to assist at the Entrance and Exit Buildings of the campus. The role greets visitors, provides directions, and handles radio and telephone dispatch for campus security.

The 30-hour year-round GA position is reserved for graduate students of BJU and includes logging and supervision duties within the Public Safety Communications team.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree and enrollment in graduate studies.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Access databases.
• Able to multitask under pressure with professional demeanor.
• Excellent phone etiquette and keyboarding skills.
• Capable of providing quality customer service following procedures.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Employment contingent on meeting graduate enrollment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors at campus entrances and exits; provide directions.
• Receive, dispatch, and log radio and telephone calls for security purposes.
• Dispatch and log alarms and monitor camera feeds.
• Supervise student employees in Public Safety Communications.
• Log assignments and inform field officers to ensure timely completion.
• Work at least 30 hours per week; 30-hour year-round GA position.
