Job summary

The George Washington University is seeking a Driver for the GW Safe Ride program to operate transportation vehicles for students, staff and faculty. You will use GW mobile apps, conduct pre/post-trip inspections, and report suspicious activity during shifts.

Minimum qualifications include a valid driver's license and either a high school diploma or higher; a clean driving record is preferred. Hours are 40 per week with on-site work at Foggy Bottom, Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or a Bachelor's degree; degree conferred by start date.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Equivalent education/training/experience accepted.
• Impeccable driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive Safe Ride vehicles to transport GW students, staff and faculty within service borders.
• Report any suspicious activity during hours of operation.
• Use driver app to accept rider requests.
• Safely drive and transport passengers.
• Adhere to posted speed limits and avoid distracted driving.
• Ensure vehicles are fueled and report any performance issues to a supervisor.
• Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections using the GW mobile app.
