Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is hiring for Campus Retail Associate roles to deliver superior customer service and support store operations across campus stores. You will greet customers, assist with transactions, and help maintain an engaging retail and learning environment that supports students, faculty, and alumni.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16.
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
• Positive attitude with the willingness to learn and the capability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexible availability throughout the academic year including peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Greet customers and ensure a friendly, positive experience throughout their visit.
• Support store operations including operating equipment and cash register while ensuring speed and accuracy.
• Keep the store organized by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space.
• Temporary positions require availability to work on a weekly basis for up to 90 days with occasional weekends and varied opening/midday/closing shifts.
• Routine housekeeping including dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal.
