Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Campus Retail Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and assist store leaders in daily retail operations. The role focuses on creating a welcoming store environment and supporting sales transactions and basic store upkeep.

Ideal candidates are 16+ with a positive attitude, basic math and data entry skills, and flexible scheduling across the academic year. Benefits include employee discounts and scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced team
• Basic math, keyboarding and data entry skills
• Flexible availability during the academic year including peak periods

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions involving cash, credit or financial aid
• Greet customers and ensure a positive shopping experience
• Support store operations including operating equipment and cash register with speed and accuracy
• Keep the store neat by shelving, arranging, cleaning and organizing products
• Temporary positions require availability for a ~90 day period with occasional weekends and varied opening/midday/closing shifts
• Routine housekeeping such as dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming and trash removal
