Job summary

The Centers, LLC seeks a Coordinator - Competitive Sports & Student Development to oversee intramural and club programs. This on-site role at Jacksonville State University Recreation and Fitness Center requires collaboration with campus partners, program planning, and participant registration.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or 4+ years in higher education, recreation, or sports, plus experience managing intramurals/clubs and officiating.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of work experience in higher ed/recreation/sports.
• Experience working in higher education, recreation, or sports.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and organizing intramurals and/or clubs.
• Officiating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, schedule, and register participants for intramural and club programs.
• Train officiating mechanics and game, conflict & risk management skills.
• Develop and communicate intramural sport rules and program participation policies & procedures; Develop and communicate club policies & procedures.
• Supervise competitive sport contests and provide staff with on-site evaluations.
• Manage and inventory intramural sport equipment and supplies.
• Evaluate performance and program effectiveness; Ensure programs stay in line with all the current trends and rules.
