Job summary

Mt. Hood Community College is seeking a part-time Public Safety Officer to protect life and property on campus. You will conduct foot and vehicle patrols, enforce laws and college policies, and act as a first responder in emergencies while coordinating with outside agencies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and at least three years of driving history. Onsite duties include patrols, alarms response and safety checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic filing, data entry, spreadsheets, databases and email skills; MS Word preferred.
• Valid driver license, insurance and at least 3 years driving history; age 19+.

Responsibilities

• Patrol college property by foot and vehicle; enforce laws and campus rules.
• Investigate incidents; interview witnesses; prepare reports for law enforcement.
• Respond to emergencies; provide first aid/CPR; coordinate outside responders.
• Provide security services such as jump starts, unlocks and safety escorts.
• Maintain records and logs; assist with public safety drills and events.
